This is an overview a demo store I’ve developed for a coffee brand, to demonstrate how we can use sections everywhere to create an incredible shopping experience for your customers with Shopify.

This theme was built using Shopify's Dawn theme with its online store 2.0 features.

I'll quickly cover all the customisations I've made below.

Homepage

To start I created a modern logo in Figma to match the brand. We have used an enticing banner image paired with a strong call to action to compel coffee loving visitors to explore the store further.

Below the main banner section, we have a featured collection section displays the brands full range of coffee beans.

Then we have a blog content section where visitors can learn more about the coffee bean roasting process and where the brand sources their beans from around the globe.

Below the blog section is an image with text section inviting visitors to enquire about the coffee bean subscription service that the brand offers.

A video content section is placed next below, which is followed by the coffee of the month section and the footer which has links to all of the stores pages, and contact information.

Product Page

I’ve made some customisations to include further product information, which all help potential customers make a buying decision.

Using the collapsible tabs section block, some customs code, and the new built in Metafields features, I’ve added shipping estimates and a table detailing the flavour profiles of each coffee bean blend.

Metafields

Metafields make it easy for merchants to chop and change this information all in the backend.

Additional relevant product info develops a feeling of trust and will make your customers more likely to make a purchase.

I tweaked the theme files to remove the default recommended product section and have added Our Promises Multi-Column section.

Further below I've place the featured collection, helping customers navigate to more products that they might be interested in.

Custom Testimonial Slider

The testimonial slider is custom coded and is fully customisable.

Merchants can change the text, the profile picture, and the entrants name very easily all within the theme customiser.

The slider is mobile responsive and the section can be added to any page within the theme.
